Engineer – Trade Compliance 1 – India, Hybrid

Job Description:

Analyse the technical details like; working principle, functional parameters, materials, etc of parts / products of Atlas Copco parts & provide them correct HS code as per European, Indian, USA & Chinese customs & WTO guidelines.

Understand the logic behind The General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI) of the Harmonized

System, also known as the General Interpretative Rules (GIR).

Screening of parts for Dual Use regulations

Daily basis reporting to service centres mainly in Belgium, USA & India as well as other customer centres & product companies of Atlas Copco group globally.

Communicate with the global customer on daily basis & resolve the technical queries/issues raised by customs authorities.

Mentor fellow colleagues

Qualification:

Basics of mechanical & electrical engineering should be clear

Able to read & understand engineering drawings, structure of bill of material & supplier’s catalogues.

Proficiency in verbal & written communication in English;

Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook; MS Excel proficiency is an advantage;

Strong attention to details;

Decision making aptitudes based on given guidelines and in ambiguous contexts;

Must be comfortable working with large data sets;

Very good knowledge and experience in internet navigation and research finding specific information about parts/products in a timely manner.

Knowledge of BPCS / ERP / SAP is a plus.

Officer – Trade Compliance (Screening) – India, Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

Act as first in line, a basic screening team member to filter out the false positives and escalate real/true hits, based on updated restriction and sanctions lists.

Regularly check and initiate action based on the computer-generated worklists.

Take the guidance of SOP, parameters and protocols framed by Regional and Global Trade Compliance Leads.

Verify the BPs and orders and in case of any deviation escalate the findings to the Global Trade

Compliance Team thru respective Screening specialist.

Ensure timely completion of screenings and release of system-generated blocks, other than the blocks referred to Screening specialist.

Maintain accurate records of screening activities, namely, release orders, and escalations.

Carry out screening process offline as well as system-based SAP-GTS.

Translate in the local languages the details of the research carried out on our business partners to assist our Regional or Global Trade Compliance teams in decision making process.

Stay updated on relevant Act, laws, rules, regulations, notification and guidelines affecting the operations of our company.

Qualification:

Graduate degree with 2 to 3 years of experience in the relevant field.

Understanding of national & international restrictions, sanctions and export control regulations of US, EU and UK

Added advantage to have knowledge of screening tools (e.g. SAP GTS, Descartes, Kharon, Dow Jones, etc.)

Excellent written & oral communication skills in English

Prefer to have communication skill in other foreign languages (e.g. Chinese, Russian, Arabic etc).

Excellent analytical and Internet through research skills

Application Project Engineer – Europe 

Atlas Copco Italy, is looking for a new Application Project Engineer within Industrial Air Business Line.

Job Responsibilities:

Prioritize the activities provided by the Engineering Manager in conjunction with the Industrial Air business line.

Support Customer Center sales channel by evaluating the technical/commercial feasibility of a tender and help to clarify customer inquiries and specifications.

Review complete request for quotations including all applicable specifications and prepare detailed exceptions as needed.

Review at Order meeting the complete request for quotations including all applicable specifications and prepare detailed exceptions as needed.

Provide the entire scope of supply, define specific product & project management strategy to secure the business and the invoicing; complete, independently, technical and commercial evaluations of any extra activity to provide professional job handling, costing report details and consolidated gross profit calculations.

Prepare and lead detailed technical documentation and Customer meetings & and bid clarification meetings.

Provide technical specification for equipment and service procurement to complete the order scope of supply.

Lead detailed hand over meetings with the project engineer/project execution team.

Liaise between the customer center, System Group entities, qualified vendors and end customers during the entire “life” of the project.

Qualification:

A Graduated in Engineering disciplines (Mechanic or Electric), preferably with an experience as a Project Engineer or similar role.

Service Coordinator – United States

Job Description:

Support the VTS Field Service and Service Sales teams by scheduling field service repairs of vacuum equipment, providing regular updates to the Field Service Manager and BLM.

You will administer the forward planning of all open orders, ensuring that the service department requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.

You will support the VTS Field Service Manager and set the Field Service Engineers work schedules in order to maximize efficiency and minimize work in progress.

You will ensure orders are correctly allocated and released to the FSE before the visit date.

You will ensure all parts are available and in the FSE’s storage location or customer site prior to visit.

You will liaise with customers by phone or e-mail to arrange and confirm the service visits, and ensure they are fully aware of the work and the date the work is to be carried out.

You will enter and maintain all orders, to ensure all work is correctly allocated, so that quality reports can be gathered via SAP reporting facilities and other tools.

You will regularly liaise with the Business Development Manager, Field Service Manager, FSEs, internal departments and other Service Centers to expedite customer requests.

Qualification:

High school diploma, some college preferred.

Minimum of 2 years relevant service coordination and/or dispatch experience.

Strong knowledge of CRM systems, but SAP or C4C preferred

Excellent planning capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement

Great empathy and internal/ external customer focus and commitment

Good business understanding and cost consciousness

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
